海盜隊Francisco Liriano忘記過去的不愉快經驗，台北時間3日對老虎隊先發，投7局沒失分，終場海盜8比4贏球，三連戰橫掃老虎，Liriano贏得勝投（5勝6敗）。

2010年Francisco Liriano效力雙城隊時，曾在4月27日對老虎先發8局沒失分，但自此之後，Liriano似乎得了虎瘟，對戰14場，11場先發，戰績1勝9敗。

今天Liriano再戰老虎，投出完全不同的內容，先發7局被擊出5支安打沒失分，三振5次、保送3次，漂亮地拿下勝投，他說我站上投手丘，只是忘掉過去有關於老虎隊的不愉快經驗，過去可能是我太過於追求完美了。

Liriano盡全力投了一場好球，隊友打擊也全力相挺，共擊出13支安打，包括Francisco Cervelli轟出陽春砲（本季第4轟），Neil Walker敲4安、3打點，姜正浩也敲出1支安打，本季打擊率2成60。

Francisco Liriano投完7局退場，老虎隊才有機會反攻，8局下J.D. Martínez轟3分砲（本季第21轟），一度追到3比4落後，不過海盜隊9局上靠著4支安打攻得4分，穩住了戰局。
